Execution review
Test the plan against field reality. Identify where sequence, access, tooling, information, interfaces or completion logic will stop the work before those gaps become offshore delay.
TECHNICAL PROJECT EXECUTION · OFFSHORE CABLE · T&T
ClearCurrent helps offshore cable and T&T projects turn technically complex scopes into an executable sequence. We work where planning, readiness, technical interfaces and completion meet, so teams know what must be ready, what comes next and what finished actually means. The result is more predictable execution with less waiting, fewer revisits and clearer ownership.
THE THINKING BEHIND CLEARCURRENT
Offshore projects rarely lose time because nobody is working. They lose time in the spaces between scopes. Routing, termination, fibre, testing, plug in, QA and completion can all be progressing while the combined sequence still creates waiting, handovers and repeat visits.
ClearCurrent starts with the workfront and works backwards. What must be finished next? What has to be true before that can start? Which person, tool, document, access point, material, decision or interface can stop it? That is how a milestone plan becomes an executable plan.
The same logic sits behind every ClearCurrent service. Consultancy makes the real execution constraint visible. Readiness and recovery work restore a practical sequence. FieldOps keeps planning, field activity, evidence and completion connected to the same execution picture.
Find the constraint. Remove the noise. Restore flow.
WHERE CLEARCURRENT ADDS VALUE
ClearCurrent focuses on the part of a project where plans have to survive contact with the field. The support can start before mobilisation, during active execution or when a campaign needs to recover flow.
Test the plan against field reality. Identify where sequence, access, tooling, information, interfaces or completion logic will stop the work before those gaps become offshore delay.
Work backwards from the next executable scope so decisions, people, tools, materials, access and interfaces become visible early enough to act on them.
Reset a reactive campaign around the real constraint, reduce unnecessary switching and revisits, and create a practical route from unfinished activity to completed scope.
Connect lookahead planning, work packages, DPR, downtime, evidence, QA and completion so the project works from one controlled execution record instead of parallel trackers.
ONE FLOW · START TO FINISH
Access, routing, materials, tooling, documents, people and interfaces line up before the work is committed.
Technical checks and pre work testing happen early enough to prevent avoidable rework later.
The team follows one clear sequence with ownership kept close to the physical work.
Testing, evidence, QA and acceptance are captured against the same piece of executed scope.
Outstanding items, walkdown, as left condition and handover close before ownership moves on.
EXECUTION CONSULTANCY
ClearCurrent can work independently inside an existing project organisation at the point where technical reality, planning and interfaces meet. The objective is not to add another management layer. It is to expose the real constraint, restore an executable sequence and keep ownership with the work until it is genuinely complete.
Compare the programme with what the workfront can genuinely start, execute and finish.
Translate upcoming scope into the decisions, access, people, tooling, materials and documents that must be ready first.
Reduce unnecessary switching and handovers. Protect finish per tower or string rather than measuring activity alone.
Make dependencies visible across cable, WTG, foundation, marine, OEM, fibre, testing, QA and completion.
Identify the actual constraint, reset priorities and build a credible route out of reactive execution.
Challenge access, routing, tooling space, mock ups, testing logic and completion requirements while changes are still easier to make.
The best recovery plan often removes work, handovers and waiting instead of adding another layer.
CLEARCURRENT FIELDOPS
FieldOps turns the ClearCurrent method into a practical execution system. Supervisors see what is ready, planned, blocked and complete. Teams work from controlled work packages, capture required evidence at source and close their record where the physical work actually stopped.
The same source data can then drive DPR, downtime, progress, readiness, QA, walkdown and completion. Less duplicate reporting. Less interpretation. A direct connection between what was planned, what happened in the field and what is genuinely finished.

QA, walkdown and handover traceability
THE CLEARCURRENT METHOD
Make the real execution position visible. Ready, working, blocked or complete.
Separate the real constraint from the noise and remove unnecessary steps, trackers and interfaces.
Put ownership and decisions where the work needs them before delay becomes normal.
Align people, tools, access, materials, documents and method around the same piece of work.
Protect the sequence, minimise switching and finish what is started.
Use downtime, revisits and quality evidence to improve the next tower, string and project.
Clarity creates calm. Calm protects quality. Quality protects flow.
FOUNDER · RICHARD HEIJNE
Complex technical work needs clear execution, not unnecessary complication.
Keep sequence and ownership intact long enough to finish meaningful scope.
Progress is finished, evidenced and handed over work, not activity alone.
ClearCurrent grew from a recurring observation in offshore cable work: technically strong people and technically correct scopes do not automatically create smooth project execution. Most losses appear between activities, interfaces and handovers.
Richard Heijne has worked across HV jointing and termination, testing, supervision, superintendent responsibilities, QA/QC and project execution. Seeing the same work from both the field and coordination side shaped a simple question: if this tower or string must be finished tomorrow, what must already be true today?
That question became the workfront backwards principle and the 21 / 9 / 3 lookahead. It is not another planning layer. It makes future execution visible early enough to prepare the decisions, access, interfaces, tools and resources that the field will need.
The same principle applies when a project is already under pressure. Start with what is stopping completion now, trace the cause backwards and remove the constraint rather than treating the symptom with more meetings, people or trackers.
ClearCurrent is therefore built around execution clarity, simple control and finish ownership. The aim is to help capable teams do the work they are already there to do, finish it properly and make the next piece of scope easier to execute than the last.
START WITH THE REAL PROBLEM
Bring the campaign, the upcoming scope or the constraint. ClearCurrent can review the execution picture, define what needs to change and support the project through consultancy, readiness, recovery or FieldOps.
